Regional Hoop Shoot Winners

After competing at the local Hoop Shoot competition, winners advance to the district competition. If they succeed, they continue on through the state and regional competitions. At the North Central Region semi-final, held March 13, two competitors from our Lodge won their classes. The North Central Region consists of contestants from Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. These two will now travel to Springfield, Massachusetts to compete in the national competition to be held April 28 - May 1.

It is incredible to have two competitors from our Lodge going to the national competition. Lodge 572 is very proud of their accomplishment and wishes them the best of luck!

Regional winners from Lodge 572
Nicolas Hagel (Steeleville) finished second in the boys 12-13 year class at the local competition. When the first-place winner could not go to the next level, Nicolas continued on through the stages and won the regional boys 12-13 year class with a score of 23 out of 25 shots.
Destiny Williams (Chester) took first place in the girls 8-9 year class at the local competition. Destiny won the regional girls 8-9 year class with a score of 21 out of 25 shots.
